The Dark Scourge of The Squirrel

In my English 11 class we have been assigned to write a short story for a character we have created. Thus I have created the character Captain Squirley and his outstanding side kick Risu, the last known squirrel that has been unaffected by the Dark Scourge effecting all animals and causing them to become unordinaraly violent.

The easies and most rewarding thing about writing a short story is being able to create a world with every aspect under my control. This has enabled me to create a world ideal for me, and save this world from the darkness it has plunged itself into.

The most frustrating thing about having to write this story is the same as the best about it. Creating a world is the most fun but can be frustrating knowing that every single detail about this world has to be created by me.

Captain Squirley is the last scientist left in the resistance that is fighting the Dark Scourge. His hero "esque" has been proven many times receiving many medals for his research that led to the cure of many terrible diseases. Captain Squirley has also received many medals for his bravery in combat having single-handedly saved the world from a nuclear winter with his covert operation against the evil group known only as The Asain's. With The Asain's recent deployment of a modified strain of the Dark Scourge his bravery, strength and his PHD in Anti-Asain operations.

The overall view of this short story is rather exciting that I get to be as creative as I can and let my mind loose and in the end have a story that is all my own.

Title: Warm Bodies
Author: Issac Marion

Today I, Dakotah, am interviewing R,the zombie that changed it all.

Dakotah:How are you doing today R?"

R:I am doing very well my talking has vastly improved."

Dakotah: "You have improved very much, how did you manage to improve this much?"

R: "Julie has been working with me very much since we defeated the Boneys."

Dakotah: "Ah yes Julie, how is she coping with the attack on the stadium?"

R: "Fairly well, she has her moments though."

Dakotah: "I can only imagine losing both her parents to the plaque."

R: "I can't imagine the pain she must be going through, after all I can't remember what it's like to
have parents."

Dakotah: "That's right I almost forgot, so you have no memory of the life you had before?"

R: "No memory at all, all I can only remember part of my name."

Dakotah: "So, have you ever longed for an actual name? One that sets you in the world of the living."

R: "Not really, Julie asked me the same thing, I like my name the way it is, it constantly reminds me how valuable life is, after all I a can actually die now."

Dakotah: "Since joining the world of the living do you ever fear death?"

R: I have never feared death, I mean why would I was living a meaningless life, but now I ave purpose and a heart to go with it, so yes I do fear death."

Dakotah: "I see, so before did you have any other fears?"

R: "No, but on the day I met Julie that all changed, when I started to change."

Dakotah: "So on the day you found Julie is the day you started having fear again?

R: "Yes, but it wasn't my fear I still had nothing to be afraid of, but Julie did that's what started all this, I feared for her life."

Dakotah: "Sounds like you really do care for this girl."

R: "More than anything that I can remember"

Dakotah: "So she is the first thing that you cared for in your 'new life'?"

R: "This is correct, I can't really explain how much I care for her, I'm still getting used to having feelings."

Dakotah: "That's right how have you been handling these new feelings"

R: "As good as any zombie would I guess."

Dakotah: "So if you could change anything about what happened at the stadium what would it be?"

R: "Nothing really, except I would probably change Julie's father dieing."

A new ending

Dakotah: "So now that you and Julie are together what do you plan to do?"

R: "Well we are as happy as can be given the state of the world we live in, but we are doing our best to fix this messed up world."

Dakotah: "And how do you and her plan to do that."

R: "We don't know exactly, we are just helping other people realize that zombies are changing, I mean I was one and now I'm alive."

Dakotah: "How difficult is convincing humans that zombies are changing?"

R: "Some are easier than others, Nora for instance was very open to zombies, although she was uneasy but she has handled it the best."

Dakotah: "So how many humans have accepted this new life style of befriending zombies?"

R: "Not  as many as we need."

Dakotah: "Well I wish you the best of luck."

R: "Thank you, and I must be on my way now I have to go give a speech at a Yankee Stadium, goodbye my new friend and next time you see a zombie try to give him or her a friend."

Choice topic: The Power fo Music

Music has a very strong affect on everyone no matter what types, or how loud their music is. Music has been around for thousands of years and has had some tie to everything that has happened in history, whether the music inspired someone to do something, of that the music was inspired by someone who did something spectacular it was once said "Music can change the world because it can change people"-Bono. With music in almost every aspect of life today it is impossible to argue with those wise words, the music of today is affecting everything about tomorrow.

The greatest thing about music is it can be tailored for any situation, life or death, happy or sad, no matter the situation there is some music fitting. Music that has been tailored for a specific aspect of life can be the best thing to happen "All good music resembles something. Good music stirs by its mysterious resemblance to the objects and feelings which motivated it"-Jean Coceau. If Jean is correct that means composers write their music as a "vessel" so to speak that represents an object or a trial that he or she has gone through. If a composer does write music like this then a listener, that is dealing with the same type of trial then that specific listener will have a connection to that music or perhaps that composer.

One of the most amazing powers that music posses is that it can say what words simply do not have to power to explain "If a composer could say what he had to say in words he would not bother trying to say it in music"-Gustav Mahler. Music contains a power that no one person can fully understand, the power of relaying a message through the notes of a song.

CC3: Aarons Law

The "Aaron's Law" that is being named after the hacker who committed suicide in January is being drafted to eliminate prosecutors tools against users that "exceed authorized content." Zoe Lofgren the representative who drafted this bill first got the foo work from Reddit.

Lofgren, from California, believes almost the same as the hacker group Anonymous in the belief that the sentencing commission was attempting to bargain with Aaron Swartz and with him and lessen his sentience and only jail him for only eight years but also held over his head 13 felonies that would have him imprisoned for at least 50 years.

The point of the bill is to lessen the language used against users that "violate" the amount of allotted content. For those Americans that love reading informational texts, and use the .pdf format, that requires them to download their information from web sites that offer .pdf files. Currently the law states, and enforces a limit on the amount of articles, or newspapers you can download. If you happen to exceed this limit it is punishable by up to eight years in prison depending on the terms and conditions of the web site service that is chosen to be used. If this bill were to get passed it would mean that those using mainly .pdf file format could gather as many articles or stories form the web as they pleased.

To me the thought of the law controlling the amount of information you can have is leaning towards a "black Internet" similar to the one in China that limits every aspect of Internet usage. If Lofgren gets her bill passed it would mean a great leap toward a "more free" Internet. Surprisingly the footing for this bill, and its content is not entirely done by the work of politicians Lofgren first posted her idea to Reddit to gather feedback, after an overwhelming amount of positive thoughts she drafted the bill and re-posted her draft asking for more feedback and ideas.

The thought of Zoe Lofgren posting her bill to Reddt(a site that several thousand teenagers use) and allowing them to send feedback, and suggestions is astounding to me. This shows that some politicians realise the importance of the Internet and the effect it has on teenagers and children and the who backwards the society is when during the day they promote education but when night falls they limit the amount of information you can have.

If you decided to download a book about laws that came from a service site like MIT but there .pdf terms stated that you had a limit on the amount of information you could have. Would you be willing to go to jail if you downloaded one to many files about a topic you had interest in would you still do it?

BR1: The Rise of Nine

Pitticus Lore's The Rise of Nine fulfills the action packed thriller series of I am Number Four. This book is a great addition to the series and continues the mystery of the lorien.

The lesson learned from from fictional charters can sometimes be greater than those taught by a actual person. The main charter John is a teacher on his own, he shows the reader many great lessons throughout the book. The main lesson that prevails through him is his love for his friends. This young boy constantly fights for those he loves no matter the odds weather it be the forces of evil or just the twisted hands of fate.

Pittacus lore does a very good job at presenting the creating the characters, and depicting them as real people. The two main characters in this book Number Nine and John(Number Four) have been created with great personalities that the reader can grow attached to. This is one of the best things about this book, there is a connection between the reader and the characters.

This book has a very interesting setting, the characters have the ability to be anywhere in the world, thus giving the book a very dynamic feeling. Most books have a main central time and place for the story, but in this book it can vary from the United States to across the world to India. The setting changes can sometime make the story a little hard to follow, but also gives it a sense of the reader being able to travel along side John and the rest of the Lorien.

The I am Number four series is an action packed series that would entertain most all audiences. The third book itself The Rise of Nine is a perfect example of this, being just as great as the other books it defiantly deserves a read.

My American Dream...

The American dream is something most all Americans strive for, having the fufilement of doing what truly makes them happy. For myself, the American Dream may differ greatly from the others. I strive to be the person people look for when they need help. With that attitude it only fits that my American Dream involves helping people, the first step in my dream is to become a criminologist, to help those who need it most, then only later in life will I completemy full dream and become a poloticain.
The first step in my llife urging to complete my American Dream is to become a criminologist. This is a major stepping stone in achieving my goal, this step can lead to many other points in my carrer, such as a member of the FBI and the BAU, a special divisn dedicated to studying the minds and methods of criminals to better understand the their thought process and tendencies. Also this can lead to a less broad career that of a detective or police officer. Even this step toward my goal is a broad one it is still a major one. A major benifit to working at a local law enforcement office would be that I would be able to see the effects of my work in the city that I work in. The next step in accomplishing my goal is a much more challenging step but possibly a more fufilling one.
The next and last step I wish to take in helping people is to become a polotician. Many seem to dislike poloticians, but is my goal is tyo change that, being livertarian is not making that daunting task any easier. The main challenge is being elected to anything, The Democrats and Republicans have always been the top dogs when it comes to polotics. Both of those parties have become acustomed to power(for the most part) and a few Americans have realized this and created the Libertarian party, although created in the 70's this party has had little succeses, thus my problems getting elected. with all that the strength I can muster, I will strive to be the first Libertarian elected Govener of a state. I would actually trry to change things for the better and change the perception of poloticans and do good for the people.
Even though my strive to help people sometimes causes more problems than solves I still hope to become a Criminologist and then a Politician and help as many people as I can.

This country  has many political parties that seem to never agree on anything. even though this country is a democracy there are two major parties that seem to be overwhelmingly more powerful than any other. According the the GOP even though the republicans have lost a few presidential elections it still has a major influence in congress with there rival the democratic party, both of which can never seem to agree on anything they do find one simalarity amongst themselves. Both parties are advocate for democracy but the GOP the third party, The Libertarians, are unconstitutional but all the while are teaming up with the democrats and not allowing them fair treatment in the elections. Being in the United States its rather shocking that the two parties we elected to represent us are very unconstitutional.
